Poetry Friday

The luck of the Irish was with me this week! Highlights Puzzlemania bought another word puzzle from me, and I won a crockpot cookbook from Brenda on her blog! Thanks Brenda!

Another great project that I submitted to this week is the Peace Project. Read more about the Peace Project here at Laura Salas's website. I submitted the following poem.

PEACE ON EARTH by Kelly Polark

Peace on Earth
What’s it worth?
A million tears?
A child’s worst fears?

Peace on Earth
What’s it worth?
Thousands dying?
Widows crying?

Peace on Earth
What’s it worth?
Countries in debt?
No answers yet?

Peace on Earth
What’s it worth?
Law obstruction?
Mass destruction?

Let’s coexist and be wise.
Tolerate and compromise.
But what can all of this be worth?
The very future of this Earth.

The Poetry Roundup is at Wild Rose Reader today!

Sorry, I spelled a word wrong, so I had to delete the first comment.

Loved the poem, congrats on the puzzle to Highlights, and what the heck -- don't you win EVERYTHING? You lucky girl.
