Grammy Wrap Up

I have to admit, I taped the Grammy's last night and watched Dark Knight with my hubby instead. This morning I quickly ran through the 3 1/2 hour show in about 30 minutes. Because I'm efficient that's why! Here you can read the Grammy winners.
TWELVE RANDOM THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING THE GRAMMY AWARDS 1. Loved U2 as the opening act! Cool new song. I loved how some of the lyrics were shown on the background screen as the sound equipment didn't seem to amplify Bono's vocals well. I just checked out a Bono biography out of the library last week; he's an amazing man. Did you know that U2 has won over 20 Grammy awards?
2. Whitney Houston looked good. I hope she remembers that "Crack is Whack!"
3. Kid Rock's name should be changed to Man Countryish Rock.
4. The Taylor Swift/Miley Cyrus duet was very young and sweet. Really!
5. Jennifer Hudson has one powerful voice!
6. I never expected a Stevie Wonder/Jonas Brothers duet. I'll have my kids watch this later. I have to say I enjoyed this Burnin Up/Superstition duet.
7. Apparently Blink 182 is back together.
8. I hope rapper MIA doesn't give birth on stage! That poor girl is ready to pop!
9. I love the Beatles, and I love Foo Fighters. I so enjoyed Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl's performance. Dave played the drums while Paul sang a Beatles song. So cool!
10. Sweet Caroline is a great song, but I think I've heard Neil Diamond sing it better...
11. I thought Zooey Deschanel was Katy Perry for a second.
12. John Mayer is racking up the awards like he racks up celebrity notches on his belt.
That's the wrap up!

Also, Kim Kasch tagged me! (Thanks, Kim!) This tag involves looking into your photo folders. Picking the fourth photo in the fourth photo and posting it! Here's mine. This is a picture on a Princess cruise ship when it was docked in Vancouver. My husband, his family, and I took an Alaskan cruise in 1998. Alaska was breathtaking!

Tag, you're next! Photobucket

KELLY ~ I ENJOYED YOUR WRAP UP BECAUSE I WAS SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH AND MISSED SOME OF THE THINGS YOU MENTIONED. I WILL AGREE W/ THE STEVIE WONDER/JO BROS DUET...THOSE BOYS HAD TO FEEL LIKE THEY WERE LIVING A DREAM!!!
THOUGHT THE SAME THING ABOUT M.I.A. THAT WAS QUITE AN OUTFIT SHE HAD ON AS WELL ;)
I JUST CAN'T LIKE JOHN MAYER...I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS IT...
ONE THING YOU DIDN'T MENTION WAS KATY PERRY'S PERFORMANCE...UM, LET'S JUST SAY IT REMINDED ME A LOT OF BRITNEY SPEARS' DISASTROUS PERFORMANCE...SHE JUST DIDN'T SEEM "PRESENT" IN THE SONG...IT WAS ODD...AND I LOVE HER MUSIC.
ALSO, I WAS TOTALLY BUMMED RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWN WEREN'T THERE...LOVE BOTH OF THEM...AND I HOPE THE "ALLEGED" RUMORS DO NOT PROVE TO BE TRUE!!!
:)

LOL at #3!
I was surprised seeing Adele for the first time - not at all what I pictured in my head. And I got a kick out of MIA's outfit!

It's great to have a wrap up like this because I refuse to watch the Grammy's.

I so want to go on a cruise!!

lyfizgud: Do you mind taking off the caps lock so our eyes don't hurt trying to read your posts?

Sue- I agree that Katy Perry's performance was lacking, I ended up fast-forwarding through most of it! I wondered why Rihanna and Chris weren't there until I saw the rumors today. I also hope it isn't true!
Adrienne-That outfit! Yowza!
Christy and Cpt Hook- I so want to take my kids on an Alaskan cruise someday. It is unbelievable!

Great post
Personally I love COUNTRY music, especially if the country is Brasil, France, Argentina, Israel, Morocco, and Ibiza.

I think you made a fine choice in watching The Dark Knight over the Grammys. And cool picture.

I've never been on a cruise - one day...

Thanks for playing.

I enjoyed your summary too - I didn't watch it.

Oh, I cried when Jennifer Hudson accepted her award. I am so sad for her losing her family like that. She is very strong!
