Tune For Tuesday

Today’s Tune for Tuesday may be a little hardcore for your average blogger. Today’s song is “Unholy Confessions” by Avenged Sevenfold. The headbanging song is from Avenged Sevenfold’s 2003 Waking the Fallen album. This song is the most played song on my Ipod, and it’s also one of my ringtones. Most of you will probably turn it off after a minute (that's okay, I won't be offended!), but for some reason, I LOVE this song! My favorite part is the amazing guitar riff in the beginning (which is my ringtone). Avenged Sevenfold is one of my preferred bands due to the guitar talent of lead guitarist, Synyster Gates, and nail-gun drumming of The Rev.
I discovered Avenged Sevenfold in 2005 when their breakout song, “Bat Country” became popular on the radio and Mtv. Since then, I’ve been a huge fan of their music. Other mainstream hits include “Seize the Day,” “Almost Easy,” and “Afterlife.” My husband and I saw this rock band live at Ozzfest a few summers ago. I have tickets to see Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry tonight, so an Avenged Sevenfold Tune for Tuesday seemed appropriate for today.

Check it out and rock out!

I always tell my kids, "If we were all the same, life would be boring."

My life seems sooo noisy all the time, that I like really quiet music. Just me. But, thanks for sharing.

It's fun stepping into another world every now and then.

Good song, good band. although their older stuff, like this song, is better. My fav off that album is "I won't See You Tonight, Pt. 1." Atreyu's older album "The Curse" is very similar to Avenged Sevenfold, too, and it's got a kickin' cover of "Shot Through The Heart."

Kim- I embrace the noise, and apparently turn it up! ;0)
Rob- Thanks for the recommendation. I've heard of Atreyu, but never gave it a listen. Will do that!

Thanks for sharing Kelly! I'm not familiar with the band's name, but the song sounds familiar, so I've probably heard their music before. (That happens with a lot of music. I like it, but I don't know who it is. I used to always know.)

I'm with Kim on the noise levels; I'm more partial to quiet now. Partially because of headaches, but also because there's a lot of other noise competing for my attention these days. But I can listen to fun songs like this if the volume is low :)

I need to bang my head. Seriously. I'm so tired. Ramblings of a sleep deprived authoress.

I don't know this band, but parts of the song I really liked. I'm not into hard core, heavy metal or head banging stuff much, but this song is actually really mellow in the parts that they're not yelling. LOL!

It's cool to see/hear some of the songs you're into, Kelly. I remember reading a post from you on the BBs awhile back how you were just a regular mom but were really into music like this. You said something that your husband called you, but now I can't remember what you said that was. How funny. Thanks for the song! :)

Thanks for checking out the loud tunage, ladies! Rena, I don't love the screaming part of the song either, but the rest of the song overshadows that for me!
