UnBelieberable!

What's a Bieber?
What was your favorite commercial of the Super Bowl? I only watched a little bit of the Super Bowl, and my fave commercial was the Best Buy one with Justin Bieber and Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne. Our home was fortunate enough to be Bieber fever free for a long time (except for a short lapse due to Murphblog's Bieber's Hair Attacked Me story last April - my then 5 year old was seriously scared that JB's hair was going to attack him in the night), but Bieber fever has officially hit this rock 'n' roll household. Even my 11 year old rocker son bought the song "Baby" on Itunes last week. I have heard that song so much that I was forced to institute a One Bieber Song Per Hour law in my home. My former house of rock...
"Like baby, baby, baby, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Of course, my children were familiar with Ozzy Osbourne way before Bieber fever. C'mon, I am their mother. So naturally we all enjoyed this ad (and watched it 10+ times). Can you believe that is JB with the mustache and crazy hair at the end? I like how Ozzy and Justin can make fun of themselves in this.

Bieber also made a cameo on SNL this weekend that made me laugh. Click here if you want to see him with the Church Lady and in a hilarious parody of The Roommate!
So, please stop here often for all of your Bieber needs! Just kidding, this blog will revert back to its rock 'n' roll format after this paragraph.
Speaking of SNL, I also loved seeing Wayne's World after all of these years! Click here to see the newest Wayne and Garth skit. I love silly, juvenile humor. Party on!

For my tune for Tuesday, here's a classic video of Ozzy Osbourne singing my fave Ozzy song, "I Don't Know." Even though Ozzy gets a bit confused at times, he is seriously talented. He exhibits an amazing, distinctive singing voice and some huge rock hits that span decades.

Do you have a favorite Bieber or Ozzy song?

Um, no and no. I used to love Ozzy's reality show on MTV but I don't listen to him and I can't get away fro the Biebs.

I'm proud to say that I don't have either a Bieber or an Ozzy favourite song :) Although Bieber's SOMEBODY TO LOVE was rather great for dancing and doing some exercises around the house :)

I didn't see the Superbowl commercial with Ozzie and Beiber, but I'm glad to hear that the kid is not taking himself too seriously. It will make him seem less rediculous when he goes the way of Shawn Cassidy, etc...

I love when artists can make fun of themselves! Love it. and honestly, I wouldn't have even known that was JB at the end with the mustache if you hadn't said something! Bieber fever has not hit my household. Yet.

And seriously, that Ozzy live performance. They must get serous whiplash! :)

Crazy Train by Ozzy is my favorite.

I know who Beiber looks like, because of the blogs and media, but I have never heard his music. My kid is 15 (an only child and very mature/wise for her age) and has excellent taste in music and boys...she'd consider Beiber someone she should babysit. She's going through her musical snob phase.

We hosted a SB party but somehow I missed that commercial. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Huggles and smooches,
Lola

We have Bieber Fever, too! My 6 year old *boy* is giving out JB valentines. We regularly watch JB on youtube and have the CD. I have had the Baby Baby earworm for days!

Rock on with your beib self!

Candace - The first time I saw Avenged Sevenfold was at an Ozzfest!!
Dezz - Actually the only Bieber that I know is "baby!"
Melissa - Yes, you wonder how long his fame can last. But then again NSync's Justin Timberlake is still going strong.
Lola - I love that your daughter is a musical snob!!! I think the majority of Bieber lovers are 13 and under...
Steph - OMG< I can't believe (yes I can...) that they have Bieber valentines! Which reminds me that I have bring the kids to pick Valentines out.
Sam - What? No Super Bowl in France? :)
Jon - Yeah!

Ozzy, great for doing housework to. If it weren't for Sharon I doubt he would have survived. (He really does have a good voice, though, even if it's not my favorite type of music.)

All I know is that I was a little afraid when Beiber upstaged the Church Lady dance...which by the way - was hilarious.

Old school Ozzy!! Great pick.
Best part of that commercial was when the guy commented that Justine looked like a girl...

I love that they make fun of themselves! So great. I missed the Superbowl too, thank goodness for Youtube and getting to the commercials I missed.
Hugs!

Uh, no, I am totally uncool when it comes to music. :-)

Kelly said...

Bish - I agree about Sharon. She's put up with him and guided him!
Kimber - I know! Too funny!
Alex- And the funniest part about that is that the guy was Justin with a fake beard and hair!
Jackee- Yeah, I hardly watched the game and just caught a few commercials! But a few good ones!
Shannon - I think JB is considered more trendy than cool... :)

That was a cute commercial. I also liked the Darth Vader one (of course) and the Kenny G one.

That commercial cracked me up, too. The first song my son sang as a toddler: Crazy Train :) Long Live Ozzy!! No Bieber's allowed in this household!

I caught the SNL episode and couldn't stop laughing at the Roommate parody. Oh Bieber!

I've always liked Shot in the Dark and Crazy Babies. Don't ask me why!

Kelly said...

Christina - Yes, loved the Darth Vader one too!
Kimberly - especially the Grandpa one!
Missed P- Yes on the Darth Vader one, I missed the Kenny G one!
Sherrie - Yay for toddlers singin' Ozzy! :)
Jill - I know! That Roommate parody was so funny! Especially when Andy Samberg was sitting there nekked!

HAH! Love the 'stache! I didn't see the superbowl (or the commercials for obvious reasons), but that was pretty funny.

We watched the SNL with Dana Carvey and well, it was okay. I didn't think he was quite as funny as he has been in the past. Almost like he was trying to hard. BUT... that's just me being a party pooper, I suppose!

Thanks for your encouragement over on the blog. Did you know I'm hosting a contest, too? You can win a copy of Anastasia SUen's book, Picture Writing. You probably already have it, don't you? You are super cool that way! :)

Biebs had a huge week. (He also made national news for getting booed at a Knicks game)I have to admit I kind of like him--he seems like a good sport.

Stephen Tremp said...

LOL! I had a thread on Facebook "What's A Bieber?" yesterday. Great video. I also liked the McDonalds commercials with Papa Bear taking junior bear out to eat as only a bear could do. Classic!

Kelly said...

Donna - Thanks for the heads up on your contest! I don't have that book!!
Murph- I can't believe they booed a kid! That's just not nice! And yes, he is a talented, cute kid. I don't prefer that type of music, but the guy's got some talent and thankfully, a sense of humor.
Steve - I'll have to go to YOutube for the McD's commercial! I missed that one!

That Ozzy/Bieber commercial was a good one! You're right about how they did such a good job of making fun of themselves.

My favorite was the VW commercial where the little Darth Vader was trying to use The Force and the dad timed the car alarm so that Darth Vader got really excited at his superpowers! Adorable!

I didn't watch the game, so I really appreciate that you posted this...will share commercial with kids so we can watch 20x. Did I ever tell you how I memorized every lyric from Ozzy's Bark at the Moon album in high school, because I had a total crush on a guy who liked Ozzy? Ask me if I got the guy. Of course! Research skills, Kelly. That's what girls these days are missing. :)

I love that commercial! I can't stand Justin Bieber, so I don't have any favorite songs of his. But I like a lot of Ozzy songs.

Kim Kasch said...

I had a superbowl party but really didn't watch any of it because I had a bunch of kidlit people over to talk with instead ;)

The full version of Little Vader was my favorite.

I skipped the Superbowl, watched some commercials on-line (love mini Darth), and tuned in for Glee. Great episode, btw.

Katie Mills said...

bwahaha. I haven't been privy to the new commercials yet. Sometimes they'll do a recap of them on french tv.

Loved that commercial (especially at the end when Ozzy's standing in the background of the shot!), but my favorite was the little Darth Vader!
