Kelly, you are so good at this. I think I would loose track of my head if it weren't attached! Fun to read.

What a great accounting of the creative parts of your year! I'd have to say my favorite songs that I heard last year are "Cosmic Love" by Florence and the Machine and "White Blank Page" by Mumford and Sons. For reading, I've read many books, but the thing that stands out is the poetry I've been discovering. I've never really been into poetry, but Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater got me started and now I can't stop. :)

Sounds like you had a full year! And the good thing is that most of it can be considered research, right? :)

Kelly said...

Tina - I think I'll start a word doc for my movies watched and books read so I have a complete list! I think I don't watch a lot of movies but I watched more than I thought!
Julie - I loved Shiver and Linger!!!! I can't wait for the next one!
Laura - Ha! I will very much consider it research!

My fav song of the year is OMG by Usher. Book is Matched. Movie is Despicable Me. TV Show is Cougartown.

Great list!

I really need to keep track of the books I read.

Looks like a nice full year (plus getting ready to move and do all that too!)

A couple of books I read this year that I REALLY liked were: Savvy by Ingrid Law, The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly, The Secret of Platform 13 by Eva Ibbotson and my most favorite, The Underneath by Kathi Appett.

As for movies and TV, nothing jumps out at me, though I did like The Blind Side.

And music? I'm so far behind the times I'm not likely to catch up soon!

I love reading all your lists! How do you possibly keep track of all that stuff?!

My favorite song (at the moment - sorry that's all I can keep track of) is 'If You Ever Come Back' by The Script

Favorite book - Coffehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors

Favorite movie - uhhh...Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows part 1

TV - The Event

hmmmm......maybe I'll try to keep better track this year!

Great list Kelly, I always start a list of books and then never keep up with it.

Favorite Book: Mockingjay
Favorite Movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I
Favorite TV Show: THE WALKING DEAD!!! (unbelievable!)
Favorite Song: Nessun Dorma- From Turondot (lame I know, but it inspired my new WIP, so I've got to give it credit.)

Song~Resolve to Fight (NewMeds!)
Book~You by Charles Benoit
Movie~None really...

What an awesome way to break the year down. I wish I went to more shows.

Shannon O'Donnell said...

Wow. Did you really only go to 8 concerts? It seems like you go more than that! LOL. :-)

Patricia A. Timms said...

You have quite a list. I like it!

My favorite book series last year would have to be the Evermore series. I would say the Hunger Games but in the end I didn't care much for book 3 and her political opinion, well written though, glad I read them. I'm goofy that way, haha!

My favorite TV Show last year was The Vampire Diaries and Ghost Adventures (love watching Zack poke his camera men in the eye on accident, haha)

Song of the year, hmmm, that's harder. I like so many songs. I'm going so say Animal by Neon Trees because I actually thought it was a silly song the first time I heard it because the lead singer doesn't seem to be able to say his 'r' correctly, and then I realized I really liked that song and the band a lot.

My favorite movie was Inception, favorite kid movie was Tangled.

Steph - I watched the first four episodes of CougarTown then stopped. Maybe I'll need to revisit it!
Bish- I still need to read Savvy!! It's on my list!
Kiki- My lists are incomplete so I am making a word document for 2011~
Melissa - I've heard such great reviews of Walking Dead. I hate to start things midway so will have to rent the DVD of the series!
Candace - Yay for New Meds!
Matthew - Do you mean concerts or movies? I actually watched more movies than I thought once I started writing them down.
Shannon - I think eight is the most I've been to in any given year. I went to eight a few years ago too!
Patricia - I love Neon Trees too. The lead singer is so charismatic!

What a list! You are amazing. Although the concerts don't surprise me at all, LOL! Go, Rocker Girl!

Wow, I catalog books, but not movies or anything else. I so need to do that. And I realized that I go to the theater a lot more than you do.

I loved The Dead Tossed Waves and Perfect Chemistry last year. Looking forward to a great year of reading!

Dude, you are beyond organized. I can't remember what I watched/read/listened to/etc. last week.

Happy 2011! :)

oooo Kelly--you don't need a word doc too keep track of books! You need goodreads.com :)

Also, you're a concert going ROCKSTAR! I didn't go to a single one last year...

You're all set for the Top Ten Countdown blogfest, aren't you?
I'm posting my list of Bests tomorrow.
And I need to take you out to the movies...

This is an excellent recap, not to mention question, that I'd um, maybe like to borrow shamelessly. ;)

But as for me? Oh man. I don't know. Here's a quick and dirty version.

Book: I loved The Help. The first non-YA book I've read in years. That author mastered those voices.

Movie: I haven't been to the movies in years. The only movie I saw in 2010 was "Black Swan" and I heckled the screen.

TV Show: I love Sons of Anarchy, Rescue Me, Gossip Girl a whole range of stuff, but I think my favorite is Parenthood. The writing is amazing and they do an excellent job with the adult storylines as well as the kids'.

Song: No idea. But during the last few weeks "Teenage Dream" has made me want to sneak out of my house and meet a boy in the middle of the night. (Um, even though at 38the sneaking out part would be totally unnecessary.)

I just started the Hunger Games and love it :)

But I'm also reading Undead and Unwelcome at the same time - love it too :)

You've accomplished a lot in 2010 - can't wait to see your stats for 2011

great list! It really was a good year for books and movies. I don't remember how many movies I saw or how many books I read, but I know it was tons. There was especially a great slew of animated cartoons; Dispicable me, Tangled, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Mega Mind, How to train your dragon . . . . so many good ones!

I'm impressed .... great lists!

I haven't heard any of those songs in your list, but I hope you're taking part in Alex's new blogfest on your favourite songs of all times :)

Angela- I don't have much of a social life except family or concerts!!
Elana- I loved Dead Tossed Waves too. Carrie Ryan is an amazing writer. And no, I really don't go to the movies much!
Lola - I brainstormed these and looked on my calendar for the concert! I'm making a 2011 word doc for this year!
Alex - No kidding! I really need to see more movies. How many do you see per year? I bet it's a lot!
Suz - You can still pretend to sneak out! Ha! I still need to read The Help. Everyone raves about it.
Kim - Glad you are reading Hunger Games. It's amazing!
Christy - Yes, some cute kids movies. It seems that's all I see at the theaters if I go.
Thanks, Kelly!
Dezz- But of course I am! :)

Yowsa, you had a busy year! I didn't go to a single concert. And only two theater movies. But lots of DVD movies since we have Netflicks. I've given a lot of thought to my favorite book and just can't decide.

I really liked reading all the comments to see what other people chose.
