Poetry Friday

My daughter's recital was last weekend. It was fun to see all the hard work she put into learning her steps come to fruition at the recital. Her class was small, just five girls, and they performed two of forty five dances at the recital. She had a fan club of sixteen watching her do her thing. She was fantastic. Here is a poem of two voices I wrote about the recital. It isn't in the usual format of two voices, but the general idea is the same. I took a picture of it, because I could not get it formatted right on blogger!

I've totally started photographing things to post like that rather than transcribing. It is SO much easier!
The recital sounds wonderful.

So much talent in one family!!!

She looks beautiful. I took ballet as a kid and my niece tried out for the Oregon Ballet - now she's a dance instructor.

You have a lot to be proud of!

I'd never heard of this kind of poetry--you keep teaching me things!

This is what a terrible person I am: I have so much trouble watching other peoples kids at recitals that I finally put my three girls in a class by themselves! But I'm sure your daughter was lovely!
