Rush only twice? You need to fix that. Maybe. After forty-one years, they may not tour again.
You've seen Weird Al? Now that is cool.
I bow to you. I've seen a lot of concerts, but you have me beat for the amount of different bands. However, I have seen Rush 25 times...

Kelly Polark said...

Alex - 25 times! That is insane. Alex, you will be disappointed in me, but that's Big Time Rush - the boy band - not Rush! I've never seen them!

Southpaw HR Sinclair said...

WOW! That's impressive. Great bands too!

Bish Denham said...

Thanks for listing with me, Kelly! Wow! Wow! Wow!Buckcherry (don't even know who they are!) TEN TIMES!? You are a rockin' girl.

Natalie Aguirre said...

Wow! You definitely top me. Glad you got to see so many bands.

Live bands? Aerosmith baby all the way. I didn't miss a concert for about six years up until 2011, when basic life changed for me and I moved to Florida--I need to start going again. Love the list. My taste in music is eclectic, so like a little bit of everything, but I'm more rock n roll than anything.

30 Seconds to Mars is my all-time favorite band, but I've never been to see them live. :o So many great bands listed here. I'm so jealous!

Susan Gourley/Kelley said...

Wowser. That's a lot of live music. Some of my favorites on that list.

Arlee Bird said...

Whoa, that's a lot of concerts. I've seen a few of these artists, but some I've never even heard of. Now what I'd like to know is if you added up all the money you spent on tickets to these concerts, how much would it add up to?

Last concert that I guess that I saw (not including ones by my friend Sebastian Sidi which would have been the most recent ones) would be Spock's Beard in 2010--great show!

Wow, that's quite a list! Out of the concerts I've been to, I've seen Tom Petty the most.

Hart Johnson said...

Wow--that's a lot of concerts! I tend to like small venue music which limits the recognizability of bands...

That is quite the list!
Thanks for sharing with us!
Have a fantastic week!

I, sadly, don't get to many concerts. I can't even remember the last one I went to. Ani DiFranco, probably.

I did work backstage security for a Dave Matthews Band concert, and front stage security for a Bob Dylan concert once. Do those count?

(Also, I love MCR.)

Susan - I try to go to 5-6 a year! Thanks for stopping by!
Arlee - I don't want to know about the $ part! Not to mention how much I've spent on CD's and ITunes!!
Yvonne - T is for Tom Petty in my Rockabet picture book!
Hart - I prefer smaller venues too. Some of these bands thankfully were seen up close in a small venue!
Colette - Thanks for coming by!!
MJ - Those certainly do count!
Marie - I will have to check out Arcada theater! I'm in Illinois!
Yolanda - You should try to go to one! Live music really is a wonderful thing.

Cool list! I wish I'd thought to list the goofy things I google for my manuscript!

I'm jealous! We don't get too many big concerts up this way - but we did have a chance to see Elton John and it was pure magic!!!

Shannon Lawrence said...

That's an impressive list! I've been to ONE concert. Nine Inch Nails.

Katharina Gerlach said...

I'd put the Scorpions at the top -- comes form being German. ;-)

One of the things I miss most, living in CuraƧao, is the availability of concerts. Great list, Kelly!

Some of these I know and some I don't. While I love music, I don't love crowds and when mixed with loud noises, it get's pretty ugly pretty quickly. It's too bad that my husband loves live music and is always searching for a concert partner because my nerves just can't take it.

Jen Chandler said...

Whew! Now THAT'S an impressive list!! I severely lack in the live concert going department but I really hate crowds!!

Stopping by from the List Hop! This is a great list!

Jeffrey Scott said...

Wow! How do you find the time? A very impressive list. The only artists I've seen more than once are Diana Krall, Huey Lewis and Weird Al. I would love to see Blondie in concert. Especially in the groups hay-day.

Stopping over from the Listing Hop. (I've been trying to visit everyone on the list).
