MUSIC
I love me some rock 'n' roll, so my top three rock songs of 2012 are these.
"Gluttony" by BUCKCHERRY (Got to hear this live a few weeks ago! Rated R btw.)
"You Waste Your Time" by TREMONTI (Awesome guitar riffs, and I won a signed guitar from this guy last year, too.)
"Still Swingin'" by PAPA ROACH (I get see hear this song live in a few weeks! If you lika da zombies, this video reminds me of the last book of Carrie Ryan's zombie trilogy!)
What are your favorite books, movies or songs of 2012?

Loved seeing your list of books Kelly. I haven't read most of them. I did love Rouge too. Here's hoping for a great 2013.
Awesome lists. You read a ton that I didn't read. Hmmm.... I'll have to look into that. LOL
I did see most of the movies you mentioned. Nice.
Music - I have too many new favs to say, but your choices RAWK!
Favorite movie - The Avengers.
Favorite book - The Mistaken by Nancy Thompson.
Favorite music - Rush's Clockwork Angels (of course!)
Favourite movie - Tyrannosaur, a grim small budget British film set on a Leeds council estate. Great but tough.
Favourite music - Resolution by Lamb of God, the heaviest of metal.
Favourite book - 39 Days of Gazza, chronicling ex-footballer Paul Gascoigne's disastrous tenure at Kettering Town Football Club.
Books - While not released in 2012 - I read them in 2012, The Hunger Games
Movie - Skyfall (then the Avengers)
Music - One Republic and Imagine Dragons (album names are slipping my mind)
Looks like some great reads...have to check out the ones I haven't read. Fun list. :)
YOU are TOO COOL!!! Thank you so much, Kelly! Love that you loved ROUGE! (and that other one--LOL! ;o) <3
I've read a couple on your list... The favorites I read "last" year were Empire of the Summer Moon (history about the Comanches) , Water for Elephants (fiction) and The Windup Girl (science fiction.) Each excellent in their own special way.
You read a lot. Good for you! Love that Leigh's your new fave author. I've got her books waiting my read. I so want to read Gone, Girl. I think it's gonna be next on the list for me. In 2012 I finally completed the Hunger Games trilogy and snubbed 50 Shades. But there were many great reads! Firefly Lane made me bawl.
I'd have to say my favorite new to me author is Amy Reed. I consumed her three books Beautiful, Clean and Crazy this year. Brutally true to life ya.
Great book list there! I laughed at your "2012 is SO last year." It is, isn't it?
;)
Great list!
P.S. If you use my husband's back again, I'll have to sue.
I loved your lists!! Thanks for sharing them!
Natalie- Hope you have a wonderful 2013 as well.
Sheri- There are so many books that I want to read. Not enough time!
Alex - My sister's fave rock band is Rush too. She says she one of the few females at their concerts.
Tony - Lamb of God is heavy! Have them on my iPod believe it or not!
Kimberly- I just love the Hunger Games trilogy!
Rebecca - So much to read, so little time! Thanks for stopping by!
LTM- Loved both your books so much!
Bish - Great recommendations. Did you see the Water for Elephants movie too?
PK - You must read Gone Girl! It's so crazy!
Sharon - I will have to check that author out!
Lydia- :0)
Anita-Ozzy sent me the photo.
Hi Jill! Thank you!
I'm on the library hold list for gone girl. I've been on the list for a while. :D
I loved Leigh's debut book too and can't wait for the sequel.
I'm trying to read more adult books this year. I'm currently reading my first Nicolas Sparks's book. And next month will see it in the cinema. lol
Quite a few favorite books this year: Wonder, Between Shades of Gray, The One and Only Ivan, Malcolm at Midnight, Splendors and Glooms. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
There were two movies I really loved that I watched last year: Ruby Sparks and Safety Not Guaranteed.
Wow! I totally sucked when it came to movies and books last year. What the hell happened?
Did you sleep at all? I'm amazed at your lists.
It's awesome to see your lists! It makes me want to keep my own, so I can answer questions like this. :)
GONE GIRL is on my 2013 to read list. I hear it's awesome.
Happy 2013 to you!!!
there is one thing that was made crystal clear to me last year: M83 is the most original sound, the most creative music being composed, in a long long time, we might just finally have a link back to the golden age of the '90s...
Good to know M. Tremonti is still kicking out the tunes! His guitar work got me through my first couple of years of college. (I saw Creed when they first began touring for their first album. I paid $1 to get into a music festival that featured them, Train, and Old Lady Peace. Quite the deal, looking back on it. :)
Fifty Shades AND Magic Mike. I'm starting to get a new image of you, my dear. LOL! I haven't read Fifty Shades yet, but I probably will give it a shot some time this year.
Great music, by the way!! As always ;)
Quite a list you've got there. I saw many movies and got to go to a few concerts in 2012, but I really slacked on my reading. Now I'm playing catch up for everything I wanted to read but still haven't.
Happy 2013!!!
You've read a ton of great books! I haven't read Gone Girl yet - although it's on my wishlist! Gotta get to it :)
Stina- You must read Gone Girl!! Hope you get it soon.
Marcia- I do really want to read Wonder. Heard such great things about it.
Jenny- I haven't heard of those movies surprisingly. Thanks for the recommendations.
Rena- There's always this year :).
Lee- Sleep is overrated. No, actually I try to get 7 hours a night. I love my sleep.
Peggy- I have a word file that I add to after I finish a book or movie so I don't forget!
Cynthia- Definitely make time for it. It is amazing!
Phoenix- Surprisingly I haven't heard M83. Will look up some songs on Youtube!!
EJ- That fest sounds awesome (and what a deal!)! And yes, Tremonti still kills it on guitar!
Carol - Hee! :)
Kimberly- So far I'm doing a lot more reading than watching in 2013. Some great reads so far...
Jemi- Do it! It's so good!
Sounds like you had a lot of creative inspiration the past year!
I hope to read more books this year.
Right now I'm reading the Magician King by Lev Grossman. Really great adult fantasy
